last night, as boards of canada floated through the speakers and settled in the room, he told me that "your girlfriend is cool". after hearing artist after artist that mean so much to me (along with a set that was wonderfully composed and mixed), it was hard to disagree.

thank you brigid for a great evening! i hope to find you behind the decks at a later hour at ceremony soon.

bwah, i'm jealous of you. you live in boston and that's where I would rather be going to school. there's also a pretty good scene up there for shows and there isn't shit here. LUCKY YOU!

i was just going to say that boston isn't very good for shows but then i took a look at your userinfo to see where you're from.

i guess i shouldn't complain. ;p

honestly boston is ok, NY is of course far far better. being driving distance to the semi-regular warp events in NY + mutek in montreal is nice. but the boston scene itself isn't strong enough to support any weeklies with really good electronic music, which is surprising since there are so many youngsters up here...

oh, and almost all IDM shows are boring, so all you're losing out on is the ability to namecheck and act snobby. :)

thank god I am not actually from missouri. I moved here for school. I'm from Dallas which has a much better scene but mostly for indie rock. I've been to a few idm shows which have been real nice but it would just be cool to go somewhere all the time and hear good music. I don't give a shit about knowing people that go to shows all the time...they can die for being so trendy..whatever..you've got it made if you can drive to ny to see good shows.

and I personally think boston is a cool city.
